A 69-year-old tramper who became separated from his companions on the Te Araroa Trail, near Nelson, has been found.
Police said searchers had found Picton man Edward Raniera Sims at Middy Hut.
He went missing about 11.30 on Monday morning.
He had been picked up by helicopter and reunited with his companions.
It appeared he had taken a wrong turn on the trail.
Police thanked those involved in the search.
