Police in Thames say they have concerns for a 14-year-old boy who has been missing from the area since late this morning.
The boy, known as Brayden, has a learning disability and is believed to be heading into a rural area, possibly the Kauaeranga Valley.
He was last seen wearing a grey tee-shirt, black shorts and with bare feet.
Police said Brayden liked feeding ducks and was attracted to water.
They were asking for any sightings of what they said was a vulnerable young man.
