A pedestrian has been critically injured in a crash in Auckland and the police are speaking with the driver of a car involved.
The pedestrian was hit just after 3.30am on Great North Road in New Lynn.
St John Ambulance said the person was taken to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition.
Diversions are in place while the Serious Crash Unit investigates the incident.
