A large number of firefighters are battling a fire in a three-storey building in Auckland.
The fire service was called to the Unisys House building on Great South Road, in Penrose, by an automatic alarm just after 8am.
Northern communications manager Jarron Philips said smoke was coming from the first floor of the building, and the fire has since spread.
He said there were more than 15 fire trucks there, and the police and ambulance services had been called to help.
Cordons were being set in the area.
It was not yet known if anyone was in the building.
