Police have named the man who died at a limeworks business south of Timaru yesterday.
Scott James Baldwin, of South Canterbury, died in an industrial incident at Gordons Valley Lime Company, near Waimate, at 7.15pm.
The 43-year-old's death has been referred to the Coroner as police and WorkSafe New Zealand continue to investigate his death.
A police spokesperson said police and his employer were supporting Mr Baldwin's next of kin, who were understandably devastated.
A spokesperson for Mr Baldwin's family has asked for privacy.
A spokesperson for the lime company said they were in shock and devastated to have lost Mr Baldwin from the team.
