6:40 pm on 8 April 2015

Police in Northern Waikato are seeking one of a group of youths involved in a brawl overnight.

Senior sergeant Gill Meadows said they received reports of up to 30 youths fighting in Huntly's James Henry Crescent at about 7.30pm.

Mr Meadows said the crowd had dispersed by the time police arrived and efforts were underway to identify them.

Meanwhile, police want to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of Huntly man, Tainui Niania, who is wanted on an arrest warrant related to a breach of supervision conditions.

The 24-year-old is described as Maori, short at about 169cm tall and thin.

Mr Meadows said Mr Niania had an extensive criminal record and should not be approached.
