Two women have serious injuries after being attacked with a sword in a domestic dispute.
Police were called to Paerata south of Auckland early this afternoon.
A man took off in a car and was spotted soon after getting on the motorway at Papakura.
The 19-year-old was chased by a number of police cars before he took an offramp, drove over a median strip and crashed.
Police said the man was arrested without further issue and would appear in court tomorrow on a number of assault and driving charges.
