A missing American tramper has been found safe and well, nine days after he was last seen.

David Tamowski, 55, was last seen on 7 April when he was dropped at the Routeburn Shelter in Mount Aspiring National Park near Queenstown.
Police say he intended to do the Three Passes tramp in Arthur's Pass National Park.
He was reported missing on Tuesday after he failed to catch a planned flight to Auckland.
A brief statement says Mr Tamowski has been found safe and well and is currently in Te Anau.
Police will be speaking with him to find out exactly what happened.
