Police have arrested a Nelson man who they believe is responsible for a string of shoplifting and petrol drive-off offences.
The 24-year-old was arrested in the suburb of Tahunanui yesterday and charged with 12 counts of shoplifting and theft.
He will appear in the Nelson District Court later this month.
