The police have named two men who died in a car crash north of Christchurch on Sunday.
Grant Wayne Corlett, who was 53, and David Anthony Evans, who was 50, were killed in the two vehicle crash on State Highway One south of the Waimakariri River bridge.
Police said their four-wheel drive vehicle left the road in the crash and hit a tree.
The deaths were referred to the coroner.
