A 29-year-old man from Manurewa is to appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow charged with murder.
This follows the death of a woman who was attacked at a school on Queen Street in Auckland earlier today.
A 22-year-old man was in Auckland Hospital suffering serious injuries sustained during the attack.
Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Newman said the woman's body had been removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination was scheduled to get underway tomorrow.
He said police were working through the process of formally identifying teh woman and contacting her next of kin.
