A man has died in Northland after a tree fell on him.
The police were called to a farm in Tinopai, on the northern edge of Kaipara Harbour, at about 4pm.
St John Ambulance also went to the scene of the accident but the man was already dead when staff arrived.
Northland was lashed by heavy rain this afternoon and evening.
