Police have arrested an 19-year-old man after an attack on a man in Whangarei's CBD.
The teenager appeared in the Whangarei District Court on Monday and pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated robbery.
He was remanded in custody to appear for sentencing on 7 July.
The victim, a 36-year-old man, was attacked and robbed by four men, as he walked through the Forum North carpark about 9am.
Following the assault the injured victim stumbled into the Whangarei Women's Club in Rust Avenue, where members called police and an ambulance.
Police wanted to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Forum North carpark that night.
