Police cordons set up in central Hamilton after the discovery of a suspicious package at a bank this morning have been lifted.
A police spokesperson said all businesses within 100 metres of the ANZ Bank on Ward Street had been evacuated and cordoned off as a precaution, earlier today.
Police said the package had now been identified as safe, and inquiries into how it came to be left at the ANZ bank in Ward St were under way.
