A teacher who was caught masturbating in an empty classroom has now been named as Simon Toon.
He was teaching at the prestigious Auckland Grammar School when a student reported looking through a classroom window and seeing Mr Toon masturbating.

Earlier this year, Toon was found guilty of committing an indecent act in a public place, and was sentenced to 80 hours of community work.
Toon had admitted looking at up to 27 pornographic websites on a school computer during a lunchbreak two years ago, but argued it wasn't a public place.
However Auckland District Court judge Ann Kiernan decided it was.
"I accept, of course, that no one could see in to the classroom unless they were boosted up to the height of the corridor windows but they could of course have entered through the classroom door with or without knocking," she said.
Auckland Grammar's Chairman of the School's Board of Trustees, Jeff Blackburn, said Toon was suspended immediately, but later resigned part way through a disciplinary process in July 2013.
Toon did not return to the classroom.
Mr Blackburn said the boy's secondary school had acted quickly and in the best interests of its students as it dealt with the complaint against Toon.
"We set very high standards of behaviour for our staff and it's what our community expects. It is a rare and serious event when we have to act to uphold those standards, but we did so swiftly and thoroughly," he said.
Auckland Grammar said Toon was employed by the school between 1986 and 1993 and again from 2001 to 2013.
