Seven people have been taken to Christchurch Hospital this evening after a crash in the central city.
A St John ambulance spokesman said a bus and a car collided at the intersection of Barbadoes Street and Cashel Street, shortly before 5pm.
He said three ambulances and two rapid response vehicles were sent to the scene.
Seven patients have been taken to hospital, five with moderate injuries and two with minor injuries.
