One person is dead after a car crash in Hawke's Bay overnight.
Police say the person died at the scene on the corner of Pakowhai Road and Farndon Road on the northern outskirts of Hastings, at about midnight.
They said no other vehicle were involved.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
