One person is dead and another is in a serious condition following a collision between a truck and car in Oamaru.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Oamaru-Alma Road shortly after 3.30pm today.
The 55-year-old woman who was driving the car died at the scene.
A St John spokesperson said a man in his early teens had been flown by rescue helicopter to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition.
Another man, in his 50s, with minor injuries is being treated at Oamaru Hospital.
The police said they would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash.
