Drugs seized in Picton, Auckland

5:26 pm on 15 September 2015

Three people are due in court after methamphetamine seizures at the Picton ferry terminal and in Auckland, one with an estimated street value of more than $1 million.

The police say they found methamphetamine weighing more than 1km after they stopped a car leaving the ferry terminal shortly after midnight.

Detective Inspector Stu Graham said that led to search warrants being executed later in the morning in Greenlane in Auckland, resulting in the seizure of smaller amounts of the drug and a large quantity of cash.

A man will appear in the Blenheim District Court charged with possession for supply of methamphetamine.

Another man, aged 29, will appear in the Auckland District Court charged in relation to the supply and possession of the drug, and unlawful possession of a restricted weapon.

A 34-year-old woman has been summonsed to appear in the same court on 21 September charged with possession of methamphetamine.
