The son of a missing New Zealand woman who lived on Australia's Gold Coast has been arrested over her disappearance.
Linda Sidon, 46, was last seen in June 2009 at a doctor's appointment.
Her disappearance went unreported for more than a year, until her father raised the alarm in late 2010.
This week, the Queensland police held a news conference saying they believed she had been murdered.
They began a forensic examination of her home and were searching bushland around the Numinbah Valley.
Her 28-year-old son had been named as a person of interest to the police, but no charges have been laid at this stage.
