Auckland school call in police after dogs attack teacher

5:23 pm on 10 March 2016

An Auckland school has called in police and animal control officers, saying a teacher had been bitten by dogs.

Police said Blockhouse Bay Intermediate reported that two dogs were on its grounds at about 3pm.

No dogs were found by the police when they got there.

There is no information on how badly the teacher was hurt and St John said it was not involved.

The nearby Chaucer School reported that Blockhouse Bay Intermediate was in lockdown for a time because of the dogs on its grounds.

It urged people to avoid the intermediate.
