Police have charged a 37-year-old woman with murder over the death of a woman in the Wellington suburb of Strathmore Park.

Officers were called to a house in the surburb just after 7.30pm yesterday and discovered the body of a woman.
Forensic experts were examining the house today morning and police expect to be there over the weekend.
Police said they were still trying to notify the family of the woman who died, who was also aged 37.
The accused woman appeared in the Wellington District Court this morning.
