Police wrap up secret investigation at Auckland school

A secretive police investigation at an Auckland primary school has ended without any charges being laid.

A confidential message was sent to parents of pupils at Browns Bay School last month about an incident involving a young boy.

Neither the school nor the police would provide any further details to RNZ at the time.

Police say they have now finished their investigation and no one has been charged.

Under the Child and Young Persons Act, police can't release any details of the allegation or the investigation.

Ministry of Education said it provided traumatic incident support to the school for a short time after the alleged incident but did not investigate what happened.
