Auckland police are hunting for a man who pointed a firearm at officers in the suburb of Manurewa this morning.
Two officers went to a house for a routine bail check at about 11am today, when another man who lived at the house pointed the firearm at them.
The officers quickly left the property and called for assistance, while the man with the firearm fled in a car.
Police are now hunting for a Hyundai with the registration plate HLY442, but said members of the public should not approach the vehicle.
