A toddler has died after being run over by a vehicle at Cowles Stadium in Christchurch.
St John Ambulance said it was alerted just after 4.30pm and sent two first response units and an ambulance, but the two-year-old boy died at the scene.
The police said they were investigating and no further information was yet available.
The child's family asked for privacy.
