Man killed in paraponting crash

A man has been killed in a paraponting crash in Christchurch.
The incident happened about 5.40pm on Tuesday off the Summit Road in Port Hills.
Police in Christchurch say the 44-year-old died at the scene.
Witnesses reported that after taking off, the man's chute collapsed and he fell about 20 metres.
Police are trying to contact the man's next-of-kin.
