A motel owner in Palmerston North is standing by a decision to ban all residents of Wainuiomata from his motel.
Supreme Motor Lodge owner Steve Donnelly banned all residents from Wainiuomata in February following visits by several sports team from the suburb.
Mr Donnelly accuses the teams, aged between eight and 20, of spitting, using obscene language and being unruly.
He says he has no intention of lifting the ban and has received ovewhelming support form moteliers around the country.
He says he would consider banning another town if he had several examples of bad behaviour.
Wainuiomata, with a population 16,000, is a suburb of Lower Hutt.
