Man arrested over gang shooting

Police have arrested a man in relation to a gang-related shooting in Wairoa earlier this week.
A gang member was shot in the face on Thursday night and is still in hospital in Hastings.
Detectives and Armed Offenders Squad members arrested a rival gang member who will appear in court on Saturday, charged with wounding with intent to cause grevious bodily harm
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Scott says further arrests are expected in relation to the shooting.
The Armed Offenders Squad is still in Wairoa and will remain there over the weekend.
