Police in Waikato are appealing for information after a woman suffered life-threatening injuries in Te Awamutu at the weekend.

Ashleigh Hollister,19, from Ngatea, received head injuries and remains in a critical condition in an induced coma in Waikato Hospital.

Police believed she sustained her injuries at a property in Albert Park Drive, where she was discovered.

They say the inquiry is focusing on Miss Hollister's activities from late Friday night until 5.20 on Saturday morning.
