Health boards suspend lab workers

Northland Health has begun suspending laboratory workers and docking their wages after nine weeks of industrial action.

Lab workers have been taking limited industrial action since July over their pay claims and Auckland, Waitemata and Counties-Manukau district health boards have already suspended some staff.

Northland Health says it suspended four lab workers on Thursday for four hours each at three of the region's hospitals.
