Another magnitude-4.0 earthquake has occurred near Gisborne - the third since Saturday.
It happened at 4.13am on Tuesday 20km northwest of the city at a depth of 25km.
A magnitude-4.0 earthquake was recorded at 7.45am on Monday, 10km north of Te Karaka at a depth of 30km.
A magnitude-4.4 earthquake was recorded in the same area at 12.22pm on Saturday at the same depth.
