Police in South Auckland are hunting for a gunman who took money from a security guard while he was making a delivery to a bank.
They say a heavily disguised gunman brandishing a sawn-off shotgun demanded a cash canister from the guard at the Bank of New Zealand in Meadowlands about midday on Friday.
The man fled with the money to a dark blue Honda Civic car being driven by another person.
Police say the pair later changed to a silver Mitsubishi station wagon which on Friday evening had yet to be located.
