A man has died after an assault at a small party just north of Auckland.
The police say emergency services were called to a small gathering of about six people at a house in the rural area of Dairy Flat just before 8pm on Tuesday.
The man, 24, was taken to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries and later died.
Police say a man, 18, has been arrested and charged with assault.
