The lawyer for the man accused of murdering Auckland mother Carmen Thomas has been given more time to go over the huge volume of police evidence with his client.
Ms Thomas, 32, disappeared in June 2010 and her dismembered body was later discovered in a crude grave in the Waitakere Ranges.
Bradford Callaghan, who is Ms Thomas' former partner and father to her son, appeared in Auckland District Court on Tuesday morning via a video link.
Mr Callaghan's lawyer Stuart Grieve QC told the court that since his client's last appearance the police had delivered to him 1900 A4 papers, 20 photo booklets, recordings of phone calls and 132 formal briefs from witnesses.
