Police in Nelson have charged a man with manslaughter after the front seat passenger in a car he was driving, died in a collision on Saturday night.
Detective Sergeant Mark Kaveney says the car slid sideways into oncoming traffic on Main Road, Stoke.
He says the accused is a disqualified driver.
Travis Cole Russ, 21, died at the scene.
A passenger in the other car suffered head and leg injuries and is to undergo surgery.
