Fog clears at Auckland Airport

11:49 am on 5 May 2011

Thirty domestic Air New Zealand flights in and out of Auckland airport were cancelled on Thursday morning because of fog.

All affected flights were to or from regional destinations.

The airport was able to operate under low visibility conditions meaning that international aircraft were still able to land and take-off.

Jets travelling to and from Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin were also largely unaffected.

The fog has cleared and the airport is now operating as normal.
