A 4.1 magnitude earthquake shook parts of Bay of Plenty on Saturday.
The quake occurred at 10.57am and was centred 50 kilometres west of Tokomaru Bay and 70 kilometres east of Whakatane.
It was at a depth of 40 kilometres.
