A missing Hastings girl has been found safe and well in Hamilton.
Shakahn Te Rangi, 13, had not been seen by her family since Sunday.
Police say Shakahn and another girl sent a text to a friend on Monday, saying they were running away and on their way to Rotorua.
Inspector Dean Clifford says they sent a text to a family member on Tuesday night saying they were in Hamilton.
Police there spoke to the girls, through a family member on Wednesday morning and arrangements are being made to return them to Hastings.
