Young security guard found dead on construction site

Police are investigating the death of a security guard whose body was found at a construction site in the west Auckland suburb of Henderson on Thursday night.

They say it is too early to tell what led to the death of the 21-year-old.

Detective Senior Sergeant Stan Brown says the police would like to speak to anyone who was near the construction site, for a new State Highway 16 overbridge, at the corner of Selwood Road and The Concourse on Thursday night.
