A tramper lost overnight in the Tararua Range has been found safe and well.
Ryan Dax Menton of Paraparaumu spent Monday night in the Kapakapanui hill area near Paraparaumu, after becoming lost and developing cramps.
Inspector Ian Harris says he was found just before 11am on Tuesday, and is walking out with his rescuers.
Mr Menton was unprepared for a night in the bush, as he was lightly dressed and only had one litre of water.
