A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after falling down a lift shaft at Auckland Central Library.
A fire service spokesperson says firefighters were called to the scene at about 1.45pm on Saturday, but by the time they arrived the man had walked out of the shaft by himself.
He was treated at the library by paramedics, and a St John Ambulance spokesperson says he was then taken to Auckland Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
