1:08 pm on 8 September 2011

Tongan rugby fans are causing traffic congestion in the South Auckland suburb of Otahuhu.

Police say about 2000 people have been marching in support of the Tongan Rugby World Cup team since about 9am on Thursday.

Several roads in the centre of the suburb, including Great South Road and Atkinson Avenue, are blocked.

Police describe the situation as a traffic nightmare.
