Kirk says All Blacks in good position to win

Former All Blacks captain David Kirk says the current New Zealand team is in a good position to take out the Rugby World Cup.

Kirk, who led New Zealand to victory over France at Eden Park in 1987, told Radio New Zealand's [Nine to Noon programme on Friday he thinks the All Blacks will win their pool games comfortably and probably meet South Africa in the semi-finals.

He said the All Blacks have underperformed at previous tournaments, partly because of not handling the psychological challenges well enough and hopes that does not happen this time.

Kirk said this is a very good All Blacks team that has a lot of depth and experience, with some of the best players in the world and a style of rugby very difficult for other teams to live with.
