Stadium traffic plan needs fine-tuning

Police in Dunedin say they have some fine-tuning to do on traffic routes around the new sports stadium.

Five arrests were made at Saturday night's pool match Argentina vs England, the first international Test at the Otago stadium.

Inspector Dave Campbell says he is pleased with the crowd's behaviour and the way the stadium operated.

People walked where they were expected to, but there were a few complaints from motorists so the traffic plan will need some work.

Inspector Campbell also says a plane was used to spot congestion, which provided some useful information.
