A member of the Tongan rugby team has been let off with a warning after being arrested for breaching a liquor ban in Whangarei.
The police are not naming the player but say he was ignorant of the ban and wasn't causing any trouble.
The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The Rugby World Cup player has been given a formal warning.
