NZ changes make 'little difference' to Japan

7:31 pm on 17 September 2011

Japan rugby coach John Kirwan says the late changes to the All Black side for Friday night's Rugby World Cup clash in Hamilton make very little difference to his side.

Kirwan says the home side is strong right throughout their squad.

Instead, Kirwan wants his team to believe in themselves, to be accurate and not make mistakes.

The match will begin with a minute's silence to remember disasters in both countries this year - the Christchurch earthquake in February followed by the quake and tsunami in Japan in March.

New Zealand previously beat Japan 145-17 at the Rugby World Cup in 1995.
