French prop Nicolas Mas has injured his hamstring and is expected to be out of the Rugby World Cup for two weeks.
Coach Marc Lievremont said on Saturday Mas would miss a pool clash against New Zealand on 24 September.
Mas was forced to stop training on Friday because of the injury to his right hamstring.
