Referees for World Cup

The referee of the 2007 Rugby World Cup final, Alain Rolland of Ireland, will be in charge of the France - Wales semi-final at Eden Park on Saturday night.

Craig Joubert of South Africa will preside over the All Blacks semi-final against Australia at the same venue the following evening.

Rolland will be joined by assistant referees Jonathan Kaplan of South Africa and Wayne Barnes of England. Nigel Owens of Wales and Romain Poite of France will support Joubert.

The appointments were made by the IRB's Match Official Selection Committee in Auckland on Monday.

Appointments for the final and bronze medal match will be made next Monday.
