The Springboks arrive home tonight after finishing third at the World Cup.

Jurie Roux, the chief executive officer of SARU, said that the contracts of all of the national team's coaching, medical and logistical staff expire at the end of the year.

Heyneke Meyer has been Springboks coach since 2012.

The SARU general council will meet on December 4th with the Springbok coach for 2016 on the agenda.

Meanwhile, SARU president Oregan Hoskins, said ultimately the Springboks improved on their performance of four years ago and arguably gave the All Blacks their closest match of the tournament, but they know that that is not good enough and they will have to improve in many areas if we are to close and overtake New Zealand.

The Springboks' next Test engagement is a three-Test series against Ireland in South Africa in June.
