Heavy rain has battered vegetable crops in the Pukekohe-Franklin district - the biggest growing area in New Zealand.
Pukekohe Vegetable Growers president Simon Watson says stormy weather is creating some major challenges for growers.
Mr Watson says it is going to be a very lean winter financially.
